All RLSM tours are led by staff or experienced docents and must be scheduled by contacting museum staff at least two weeks in advance. Tours may be scheduled during operating hours or during non-operating hours, depending on staff/docent availability.
All age groups can be accommodated by RLSM; please specify the age range of your group upon scheduling your tour and relate any special lesson plans related to the visit. RLSM staff/docents will be happy to work with teachers to provide the best educational opportunity for their students, and can provide a variety of educational materials related to RLS and his writing.
RLSM is a small museum and recommends group size not exceed 30 people. If a group is larger than this, we suggest it break into two groups which can rotate between touring the museum and exploring the charming town of St. Helena.
All tours of RLSM are provided FREE of charge, though a donation of $35.00 is strongly recommended for large and/or private groups.
Groups of 6 or more are encouraged to make an appointment in advance of their tour.
If a group is interested in any particular part of the Robert Louis Stevenson legacy, most staff/docents will be happy to customize your tour in relation to that topic. Simply mention the interest upon scheduling your tour.
