All RLS Museum tours are led by staff or experienced docents. A tour is not the only way to visit the museum, but can enhance your visiting experience. If you are interested in a tour, please ask at the front desk.
Please allow a minimum of 45 minutes for a guided tour.
The RLSM is a small museum and recommends tour group size not exceed 30 people. If a group is larger than this, we suggest breaking into two groups which can tour the museum in turn. Non touring groups can explore beautiful, downtown St. Helena just one block away.
For the safety and convenience of others, groups of 6 or more people are strongly encouraged to make an appointment in advance of their tour.
All age groups can be accommodated by RLSM. Please specify the grade(s) of your group upon scheduling your tour and relate any special lesson plans related to the visit.
RLSM staff/docents will be happy to work with teachers to provide the best educational opportunity for their students, and can provide a variety of educational materials related to RLS and his writing.
To schedule a class visit please include the desired date, time, and number of students.
Admission and tours of the RLSM are completely free. A donation of $10 per person in the group is encouraged and appreciated.
Donations can be made onsite or online. Please speak with our staff or docents if you have any questions.
